How it plays

You get seven letter tiles and build words on a 15×15 board, crossword style. Bonus squares double or triple a letter or a whole word, and using all seven tiles in one turn earns a 50-point bingo. Blanks, swapping tiles and passing all work the way you would expect.

Three computer levels

Easy is relaxed and beatable, Medium is a fair game, and Hard plays close to the best move every turn. There is also pass and play for two people on one tablet or phone.

Big tiles and friendly help

Tiles and buttons are large, the score for your word shows before you play it, and if a word is not in the dictionary the game tells you in plain English. Stuck? Ask for a hint.

Is Word Tiles the same as Scrabble?

It plays like the classic crossword tile game, but it is our own game with its own board layout. It is not affiliated with Scrabble, Hasbro or Mattel.

Which dictionary does it use?

The public ENABLE word list, about 172,000 words, the same list many word games use.

Can I play against the computer offline?

Once the page has loaded, the computer opponent runs entirely in your browser.

Does it save my game?

Yes. Close the tab and your game is waiting when you come back.
