Free Fallout-style games, right in the browser

Fallout made the atomic 1950s look a whole genre of its own. Goatcade has four free games that live in that world. None of them is a Fallout RPG, so here is what each one actually is.

Nuke Deck: the talky, gambling one

Nuke Deck is the closest to Fallout's tone. It is a 1955 desert town beside a bomb crater, five misfit heroes, and a Saturday auction for the deed to the old Starlite. It is a card game: you fight, talk and gamble through three days. Rads power you up and mutate you, with 16 mutations good and bad.

Last Siren: the fallout itself

Last Siren is about the lead-up and the day after a nuclear test goes wrong in 1957 Nevada. You run a town, pass laws, pick between a Colonel and a Reverend, and send scouts to a fallen B-52 and a sealed bunker.

Rad Rush and Scrap Fury: the pulp

Rad Rush throws giant ants, ghouls and robots at you for fifteen minutes. Scrap Fury puts spikes on a muscle car and races raider gangs through a burning refinery. They are action games with the same wasteland art direction.

What these are not

No open world, no dialogue trees across a huge map, no VATS, no Pip-Boy. If you want a free Fallout RPG, these are not one. If you want the mood in a quick browser game, start with Nuke Deck.
