Free survival games with no download, in your browser

"Survival game" covers a lot of ground. Here are two free ones that run in a browser tab, one slow and strategic, one fast and frantic. Neither needs an install or an account.

Play Last Siren free

If you want to keep a town alive: Last Siren

Last Siren is survival as management. It is Nevada in 1957 and the bomb is coming. You have under two weeks to build shelters and wells, stockpile food, research lead lining and iodine, and decide who gets a place underground. After the flash you ration food, treat sickness and send scouts into the ash. You make the calls and live with them: there are 8 endings.

If you want to survive a horde: Rad Rush

Rad Rush is survival as pure action. You walk into an irradiated desert and last fifteen minutes against thousands of giant ants, ghouls, robots and blobs. Weapons fire on their own, so all you do is move, collect rad shards and choose upgrades. Three bosses arrive on a clock, and beating the Atomic Colossus at 15 minutes wins the run.

What these are not

Neither is a crafting or open-world survival game. There is no base building from raw logs, no hunger bar for one character, no multiplayer. If that is what you want, these are not it. They are survival in the sense of "outlast the disaster", set in a 1950s atomic world.

Playing without a download

Both open from their play pages in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Rad Rush also runs on phones. Last Siren needs a browser with WebGL and is best on a desktop or tablet. Progress saves in your browser.
