What you get

5 heroes (Walt, Vera, Buddy, Mags and Lou), 142 cards, 58 enemies and 41 weapons. A run is 3 days with 3 bosses and 31 random events between fights. There are 10 Heat levels to raise the difficulty, and a Daily run.

The ideas that are its own

Enemies have Nerve as well as health. Break their Nerve and they run, so not every fight is a knockout. Your weapon comes to hand every turn. Guns burn ammo that you carry for the whole run, atomic weapons cost rads, and mods change them. Soak up radiation for power, then live with the 16 mutations it causes.

Who it suits

It reads clearly for newcomers: you play cards with a click or keys 1 to 0, and press E to end your turn. If you know the genre, the Heat levels and the Daily run are the long game. See also the Slay the Spire comparison.
