Brotato is a paid arena-survival roguelite built around short waves and picking weapons and items. Rad Rush is a free browser game in the same family of "survive and snowball", with a different structure.

Where it overlaps

Both are about turning a few early picks into a build that handles a screen full of enemies. In Rad Rush you pick one of four heroes, stack up to eight weapon types, and push maxed weapons into 8 evolutions. Each of the 15 enemy types pushes you to rethink your route.

Where it does not

Rad Rush is not wave-and-shop based. It is one continuous fifteen-minute run in an open desert, with no shop between rounds: you earn upgrades by levelling up from rad shards. Every five levels you must take a mutation with an upside and a downside, like a character who crits more but pulls pickups in less. You never aim, since weapons fire on their own.

Which to pick

If you love the shop, the item synergies and many characters, Brotato has more of that and is a paid game. If you want a free session in a browser tab, with a boss to beat at the end, Rad Rush fits in a coffee break.
