What is the same

You start weak, kill things, level up and pick upgrades, and the swarm gets thicker every minute until the clock runs out. Bosses arrive on a schedule: the Ant Queen at 5 minutes, a flying saucer at 10 and the Atomic Colossus at 15. A run is short enough to play on a break.

What is different

Rad Rush does not ask you to aim. You only move, and your weapons fire on their own, so the skill is positioning, routing and choosing upgrades. Max a weapon and hold its partner gear to evolve it: the Six-Shooter, Ray Gun and others turn into something much worse for the swarm. Every five levels you take a mutation, a big power with a real downside. The setting is 1950s sci-fi: ants, ghouls, robots and blobs.

Heroes

There are four. Sheriff Dusty has a Six-Shooter and extra crit chance. Dr. Ida Volt starts with a Ray Gun and bonus area. Big Hank brings a Big Wrench with extra HP and armor. Betty Blast throws Molotovs with longer burns. Try each; the first weapon changes the whole run.
