A free game like Twisted Metal, in your browser
Twisted Metal is the classic of vehicular combat, and it needs a console. Scrap Fury is a free 3D car combat game that runs in a browser tab. It is a race with weapons, not an arena deathmatch.
What carries over
Cars with weapons, pickups on the road and a reward for wrecking people. Crates hand out homing rockets, mines and oil slicks. Hit a rival nose-first and they take the damage. You get paid for wrecks.
What is different
It is a race against five raider gangs on four tracks: a red-rock canyon, the salt flats, a burning refinery and a broken interstate. There is no free-roam arena and no boss-vehicle story. Drifting and slipstreaming charge nitro, and winning scrap buys four cars and engine, armour and nitro upgrades.
Controls
WASD or arrows to drive, Space to drift, Shift for nitro, F to fire. Gamepad supported. On a phone you get on-screen buttons and auto-throttle.
