Nuclear war survival games you can play free online
Most nuclear war games are grand strategy about launching missiles. Last Siren is the other side: you are the mayor of a small desert town and the bomb is coming. It is free in a browser tab.
Before the flash
It is 1957. You have under two weeks, and the siren is certain. Build shelters and wells, stockpile food, research lead lining and iodine, pass hard laws and choose who gets a place underground. Not everyone will.
The bomb and after
The flash arrives as a 3D mushroom cloud and shockwave, then a fallout plume drifts over your town and the black rain falls. Two more weeks of rationing, sickness and expeditions follow before a relief convoy arrives. If anyone is left to meet it.
Decisions, not missiles
Hope and panic track the mood of the town. Lose their trust and they take your office. You can hand the town to Colonel Brandt and his wardens, or to Reverend Kell and the church of the Second Sun. Scouts go to a fallen B-52, a sealed test-site bunker and ground zero, and you count the dose they bring back. There are 47 buildings, 42 technologies, 42 laws, 60 story events and 8 endings.
